What's the weather like in Goa in August?
Located on the southwest coast of India along the Arabian Sea, Goa is a popular holiday destination with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures all year round. In August, the region is in the middle of the monsoon season, but the worst of the rain has usually passed by this time of year and showers are typically short and sharp. Although it can be quite cloudy in August, you can still swim in the warm seas and relax on the beach, as long as you don’t mind occasional spells of rain.Averages
In August, the average temperature in Goa is a warm 28°C, with highs of 30°C in the peak of the afternoon. UV levels are high all year round, so make sure you stay safe by finding shade in the hottest part of the day, staying hydrated and wearing lots of sun cream. After dark temperatures dip only slightly to 26°C, so you’ll be grateful for air conditioning in your hotel at night. Around 500mm of rain’s expected this month, so you’ll certainly experience some wet weather in August.
