What's the weather like in India in December?
India is one of the largest countries in the world, with landscapes from snow-capped mountains to tropical beaches, bustling cities and golden deserts. The country has a rainy season which lasts from July until September, followed by the drier post-monsoon months. December marks the start of winter and the high season in India, when the weather’s dry and sunny, with mild temperatures in the north and warm temperatures in the south.Averages
In Goa on the southwest coast of India, the average temperature in December is a warm 27°C, reaching highs of 32°C in the peak of the day and dipping to 21°C after dark. Just over 15mm of rain’s expected this month, so December is generally very dry. In New Delhi further north and inland, temperatures are cooler with highs of 21°C in the daytime and lows of a cold 8°C at night. 10mm of rain’s expected this month, and with just one wet day predicted it’s very unlikely you’ll experience any rain.Goa
