What's the weather like in Zante in March?
Zante is a beautiful island in the Ionian Sea, sitting off the west coast of Greece. It has a Mediterranean climate which brings long, hot summers and short, mild winters to the island. In March, temperatures are rising and the amount of rain’s reducing after the cooler, wetter winter period. It’s likely you’ll see some showers if you visit at this time of year, but you can still look forward to six hours of daily sunshine. Although the weather’s not that great for relaxing on the beach, March is a good time to visit Zante if you want to explore the island away from the busy crowds of the peak season.
Averages
The average temperature in Zante at this time of year’s a mild 13ºC, reaching highs of 16ºC in the peak of the afternoon. It can be t-shirt weather during the daytime, but you’ll need some warmer things for evenings out, as the temperature drops to a low of 9ºC after dark. There are showers on one in three days in March, and with a total of 90mm of rain across the month, it’s a good idea to bring a waterproof jacket or umbrella. At 16ºC, the Ionian Sea’s at its coldest during March.
