Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What’s the weather like in Crete in April?
Crete’s the biggest Greek island and sits in the southern Aegean between the mainland and North Africa. This means the island enjoys warm weather as it moves through spring in April. It’s also the start of Crete’s tourist season, and you’ll get lots of sunshine and not much rainfall at this time.
Microclimates
The mountains that run from east to west across Crete give the south of the island hotter and drier weather, which is reflected in its appearance. This is because north westerly winds are blocked, which give the north a more Mediterranean feel. You'll be kept comfortable by breezes on the coast, although the Sahara Desert can push temperatures up really high when it sends over hot winds.
Averages
The average high temperature in Crete during April is 20ºC, so you'll have lots of time to chill out on the beach and work on your tan. Make sure you throw some warmer clothes in your suitcase for the evenings though as temperatures averagely cool to a chilly 11ºC at night. The average sea temperature’s 17ºC, while humidity’s low and ranges from around 45% to the early-80s. Average rainfall drops to 21mm across six days with rain.
Daylight
During April you can look forward to 13 hours of daylight with eight hours of sunshine each day. The UV index will be high. Sunset’s around 7.40pm at the beginning of the month and gradually gets later.
