What’s the weather like in Corfu in June?
Corfu’s the second largest Ionian island, and as it’s so close to mainland Greece so you can be sure of lovely summery weather in June. If you're on your holidays to Corfu at this time you'll get lots of sun, while there’s not much rain after the wet winter and spring.
Climatic influences
Despite the hot temperatures, sea breezes will keep you cool and comfortable on the coast. There’s two mountain ranges on the island that have quite a big impact on the climate, bringing Corfu more rain than other Greek islands, although this reduces a lot in June; the rain gives the island a lush, green appearance all year round though.
Averages
The average high reaches 28ºC in June, with things staying quite pleasant in the evenings at 16ºC. The sea temperature’s 23ºC, so it’s perfect for you to cool down and swim. There’s 20mm of rain over four days, while humidity’s moderate. You can look forward to loads of sun with 11 hours of sunshine from the 15 hours of daylight each day, but be careful you don't burn as UV levels will be very high, so bring plenty of sun cream. The sun goes down nice and late in June, just after 9pm, so it’s perfect for al fresco dining.
