Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday

What's the weather like in The Gambia in May?

A nation set along a river of the same name, Gambia is a fascinating country on the west coast of Africa. It has a subtropical climate which brings hot weather to the country all year round, while there’s a wet season which lasts from late June until early October. Temperatures are high, sunshine hours are long and it’s bone dry in May, making this the perfect time to visit if you want a beach break in the heat.

The average temperature in Gambia is 26ºC in May, reaching highs of 31ºC in the hottest part of the day. If you love the heat, then this is the ideal month for you, but you should still take care in the sun by drinking lots of water, applying lots of high factor sun cream and seeking shade between 11am and 3pm. Temperatures drop to 21ºC at night time, so it’s warm yet comfortable in the evening. Gambia doesn’t expect any rain in May, while the Atlantic waters are a lovely 25ºC this month.
