What’s the weather like in Cyprus in July?

Cyprus is in the eastern Mediterranean off the south coast of Turkey and north of Egypt. If you're going in July you'll get lots of hot weather with no rain, so it’s perfect if you love the sun. As it’s close to Southwest Asia, Cyprus is one of the Mediterranean’s hottest destinations. You'll be kept cool by the sea and its breezes on the coast though. The north and south have similar weather, while westerly winds mean the east’s slightly warmer and drier. This is because Cyprus has two mountain ranges that’ll protect you from the winds in the east.

Averages

The average high in popular Paphos on the west coast’s 30ºC in July, which is perfect beach weather. The temperature only drops to 21ºC at night so it’s still nice and warm in the evenings. At 27ºC, the sea’s ideal for swimming, while humidity’s high. There’s not usually any rain in July, so you can look forward to 12 uninterrupted hours of sunshine from the 14 hours of daylight each day. UV levels will be extreme so take plenty of high factor sun cream, while sunset’s around 8pm.
