Come to the stunning east Caribbean coast of Mexico this month and you’ll soak up the best of its amazing tropical climate. The Riviera Maya weather in March enjoys temperatures of around 30°C and bags of sunshine, with very little rainfall compared to the summer and autumn.
Geographical influences
The Riviera Maya’s a long stretch of beautiful sandy beaches just to the south of Cancun and Playacar in Mexico’s Yucutan Peninsula. The region takes in the pretty resorts of Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Puerto Aventuras. The tropical weather produces a dry season between November and April and a refreshing coastal breeze keeps you comfortable in the heat and humidity.

The warm Caribbean Sea should reach a temperature of 26°C at this time, which is brilliant for a splash in the clear waters. March has much less rain than summer in the Riviera Maya. Expect 36mm to fall over an average of just three or four rain-affected days. The UV level is high.
