What’s the weather like in Playacar in January?
With an amazing year-round warm tropical climate, the Playacar weather in January is hot and sunny. Temperatures are not as hot as the summer months, but January’s in the dry season along the pretty east coast of Mexico.
Geographical influences
Playacar is a modern and relaxing Mexican resort, to the south of Cancun where the Gulf of Mexico meets the Caribbean. The dry season’s between November and April, and you can expect just light refreshing showers. There’s always a cool, coastal breeze to keep you feeling comfortable in the sunshine.
Averages
With an average daytime high temperature of 27°C, the weather in Playacar in January is great for a New Year escape to this stunning beach resort. Even the low only dips to around 20°C on cooler days. You can expect up to eight hours of famous Mexican sunshine each day, with the sun rising at 7.30am and not disappearing until 6.30pm for most of January. This month’s one of the driest in the Yucatan Peninsula, with average rainfall of 89mm, so you’ll probably only need a light jacket in case you’re caught in a shower. The average sea temperature’s 26°C, which is much warmer than waters in Europe at this time. The heat and humidity levels are medium to high and you’ll need plenty of sunblock as you relax by the coast or your pool.
