What’s the weather like in Playacar in April?
It’s a superb time to explore the stunning east coast of Mexico, which enjoys a year-round hot tropical climate. The Playacar weather in April reaches highs of nearly 30°C and you’ll only see brief showers some days, because it’s the dry season.
Geographical influences
The coastal resort of Playacar, in the Yucatan Peninsula, just south of Cancun, enjoys a cool sea breeze to keep conditions comfortable. Further inland, the temperature rises by several degrees and can be very humid. April’s the end of the dry season and any tropical showers are short, with the famous Mexican sunshine soon turning the sky blue again.

The weather in Playacar in April produces an average daytime temperature of a balmy 29°C. This can easily rise by two or three degrees on even hotter days and only occasionally falls to lows of around 22°C. The average water temperature at this time is very inviting too. If you fancy a relaxing dip in the sea or even trying some water sports, the temperature will be about 27°C. Playacar’s well known for its fantastic amount of sunshine. You can expect an average of ten hours each day in April, with the sun rising at 6.30am and finally setting just after 7pm. There’s no need to worry about rain in Playacar in April. On average, it gets just 41mm across the month during three or four wet-weather days. The UV and humidity levels are quite high, so use plenty of sunblock if you’re relaxing by your pool or the beach.
