Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What’s the weather like in Mexico in May?
With a North Pacific coast in the west and Caribbean coast in the east, there’s different weather across Mexico. Most of the country has a tropical climate with high temperatures all year round. This is the case on the popular Yucatán Peninsula, where you'll find famous resorts like Cancún and Playa del Carmen. If you book your Mexico holidays in May you'll have lots of hot and sunny weather, although it’s the start of the wet season. There’s still much less rain in May than the wettest months of the year, though.
Averages
The average high in Cancún is 33ºC in May, and things stay nice and warm in the evenings. Temperatures only drop to 22ºC at night so you'll be fine in shorts and t-shirts. The sea temperature is 27ºC, which is perfect for swimming, while humidity’s very high. There’s 109mm of rain over seven days, and you can expect 13 hours of daylight with eight hours of sunshine each day. Don't forget to bring your sun cream as UV levels will be extremely high. The sun goes down at around 7.20pm.
