Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What's the weather like in Playa del Carmen in August?
Playa del Carmen is a popular beach resort on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, not far from Cancun. A little bit quieter than its more famous neighbour, it has tropical weather with year-round heat and sunshine. Playa del Carmen does have a wet season, however, which runs from June to October, so you should expect to see some wet weather if you go in August. You’ll still get lots of clear skies at this time, though, and any downpours are usually short and sharp.
Averages
The average temperature in Playa del Carmen is 28ºC in August, reaching a high of 32ºC in the hottest part of the afternoon. UV levels are extremely strong at this time of year, so you’ll need to come prepared with lots of high factor sun cream. You’ll also want a hotel room with air conditioning, as the average low only dips to 24ºC at night. With around 150mm of rain over the course of 13 days, an umbrella or waterproof jacket’s a good idea too. There are still ten hours of sunshine each day in August, while the Caribbean Sea’s a very warm 29ºC this month.
