Sitting on Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, Cancún is one of the country’s most popular destinations due to its spectacular Caribbean Sea setting. It has a tropical climate with high temperatures all year round and August is the hottest month of the year. Cancún’s location does mean there’s a rainy season from May to October, with September being the wettest month. When it rains though, it’s usually in short and sharp downpours.
