What's the weather like in Montego Bay in January?
Sitting on the northwest coast of Jamaica, Montego Bay is a beautiful Caribbean destination with hot weather all year round. January is one of the cooler months in Jamaica, but there are still high temperatures at this time. It’s also the drier period of the year, making January a great time to visit Montego Bay. Showers tend to be short-lived, and quickly make way for blue skies. This Jamaican resort is the perfect place to escape the chilly UK weather at this time of year.Averages
In January the average temperature in Montego Bay is a warm 25ºC, reaching highs of 29ºC in the hottest part of the afternoon and lows of 20ºC at night. With this heat and nine hours of daily sunshine, make sure you protect yourself in the sun. Regularly apply sun cream, seek shade between 11am and 3pm, and stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Montego Bay expects around 85mm of rain during January, spread across eight wet days, so it’s worth bringing a light waterproof or umbrella.
