As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What’s the weather like in Jamaica in January?
Located in the West Indies in the Caribbean Sea, Jamaica has a tropical climate with consistent temperatures all year round. Combining beautiful sunshine, hot days and warm seas, the island is one of the world’s most iconic destinations. In January, Jamaica has slightly cooler yet still gloriously warm temperatures. Although it can rain, the new year falls in one of the drier seasons so wet weather usually comes in short bursts that clear the air and reduce humidity.
Averages
In Montego Bay on the north of the island, the average temperature is around 25°C in January with highs of 28°C. Resorts on the south coast can expect slightly higher temperatures and a reduced risk of rain due to the inland mountains. The island has around nine hours of sunshine each day in the new year, with sunset around 5.45pm at the start of the month.
