What’s the weather like in the Caribbean in February?

Located in the clear blue waters of the Caribbean Sea close to the equator, the Caribbean islands have a tropical climate with beautiful year-round sun. While the northern islands can be slightly cooler than those in the south, wherever you choose to go you’ll be greeted by lovely sunshine and warm temperatures in February. In the winter there can be some storms, while the Gulf Stream and trade winds also affect the weather, but there’s generally little chance of rain.

The sea temperature’s 26°C in February, making it the perfect time to enjoy the balmy waters with a spot of snorkelling or scuba diving. In the evening, temperatures dip to around 20°C, perfect for an evening at a beachside bar.
