Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What's the weather like in the Dominican Republic in September?
The Dominican Republic shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti in the northern Caribbean. The island’s mountainous so the weather’s quite diverse. You'll have less rain in the south and west as high mountains will shelter you from north easterly winds. The north coast’s wet season runs from November to January, while it’s from May to November for the rest of the island. You'll still get plenty of sun in September as it usually rains in short and heavy bursts which often come in the evening and quickly clear.
Averages
The average high in capital Santo Domingo is 32ºC in September, and things stay nice and warm in the evenings at 22ºC. The sea temperature’s a warm 29ºC, which is perfect for swimming, while humidity’s very high. There’s 174mm of rain over 14 days, but you can still expect 12 hours of daylight with eight hours of sunshine each day. UV levels will be extremely high so take plenty of sun cream. The sun goes down just before 7pm at the start of the month.
