What's the weather like in Cuba in November?

Cuba’s a chain of islands in the northern Caribbean Sea where the North Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico meet. This gives it lovely and warm tropical weather. If you're going on your Cuba holidays in November you'll get lots of sun with rain reducing as the dry season starts.

Climatic influences

The Tropic of Cancer passes through the north of Cuba, bringing a tropical climate with two distinct seasons. The wet season runs from May to October, and the dry season from November to April. The Caribbean Current brings warm waters from the equator, while north easterly winds will help keep you cool, especially on the north coast. Cuba’s relatively flat, although there’s mountains in the south east. Despite this, you'll get more rain in the north due to the direction of winds.

The average high in capital Havana’s 28ºC in November, which only falls to 20ºC at night. At 28ºC, the sea’s nice and warm and perfect for swimming. Humidity falls to a moderate level and the amount of rain also falls to 75mm over nine days. You can expect 11 hours of daylight with seven hours of sunshine each day. UV levels will be high, so pack plenty of sun cream. The sun goes down just before 7pm at the start of November, before the end of daylight saving brings this forward an hour in the early part of the month.
