What's the weather like in Barbados in October?

The location of Barbados just 13 degrees north of the equator at the meeting point of the Caribbean Sea and North Atlantic Ocean gives the island a lovely tropical climate. October’s in the wet season, although you'll still get plenty of hot and sunny weather. Temperatures are high all year round.

Climatic influences

Barbados’ rainy season starts towards the end of May and lasts until early December. Despite this there’s still almost as much sun as during the dry season. This is because rain and storms usually come in short sharp bursts, so you'll get lots of clear days in October. Winds that blow in from the Atlantic will keep you cool and comfortable, while there’s not much difference in weather around the island as it’s relatively flat. Rain’s more likely if you're in the mountains though, while the north and east Atlantic coast tends to be choppier than the west Caribbean coast.
