What's the weather like in Barbados in November?
Sitting just 13 degrees north of the equator, Barbados is at the meeting point of the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean. This means it has high temperatures all year round. Although November’s in the rainy season, you'll still get lot of sun at this time.
Climatic influences
The wet season begins towards the end of May and lasts until early December. There’s still almost as much sun as in the dry season though. This is because rains and storms tend to be short and sharp, and leave fresh blue skies behind. You'll be kept cool by winds that blow in from the Atlantic, while Barbados is quite flat so there’s not much difference in weather around the island. You're more likely to see rain if you're in the mountains, and the western Caribbean coast’s calmer than the north and east Atlantic coast.
Averages
The average high in Bridgetown’s 29ºC in November, and things stay nice and warm in the evenings, which only cool to 23ºC. The sea temperature’s 28ºC, which is perfect for swimming, while humidity’s very high. There’s 177mm of rain over 17 days, although you can still expect eight hours of sunshine from the 12 hours of daylight each day. UV levels will be very high, so make sure you pack plenty of sun cream. Sunset’s at 5.30pm.
