Borovets is tucked away in south west Bulgaria on the north slopes of the Rila mountains. It’s 10km south of Samokov and 50km north of Bansko. The climate quickly becomes colder here in November, after the brief autumn finishes, and on higher grounds above the main town the temperature falls further.
