    What's the weather like in Malaysia in March?

    Located in southeast Asia near to the equator, Malaysia has a tropical climate, bringing sunshine and hot weather to the region all year round. In March, the east coast monsoon season comes to an end, so the weather on islands including Redang and Tioman, is much drier than previous months. The west coast is also gloriously sunny at this time of year, while the highlands and the capital Kuala Lumpur can be quite wet in March.

    On the west coast, the average temperature is a warm 31°C at this time of year, while the inland regions, including the Cameron Highlands, are much cooler with an average temperature of 20°C. In the capital Kuala Lumpur, the weather’s very hot with average temperatures of 28°C but it’s also very wet at this time of year, with 260mm of rain expected during the month. Further east, the rainy season has come to an end and the average temperature is 30°C.
