What's the weather like in Malaysia in November?
Located in Southeast Asia, Malaysia has a tropical climate with hot weather all year round. The country’s affected by monsoons, so some months of the year are especially wet in certain regions, with November seeing hot, dry weather on the west coast and stormy weather on the east coast. In Penang, November is hot and humid with some downpours of rain, while the capital Kuala Lumpur also has plenty of sunshine and tropical rain in the afternoons.
Averages
In Penang on the west coast, the average temperature in November is a warm 27°C, reaching highs of 30°C in the peak of the afternoon and dipping only slightly to 24°C at night. With such balmy temperatures during the day and after dark, you’ll be grateful for air conditioning in your hotel. Around 230mm of rain’s expected in Penang this month, so prepare for heavy, short-lived downpours. In Kuala Lumpur, temperatures are very similar to Penang with around 260mm of rain expected.
