What's the weather like in Malaysia in February?
In February, the weather in Malaysia is warm and sunny across most of the country. For the west coast region, including Penang and Langkawi, February is the driest month of the year, while the east coast is still in the monsoon season with strong winds and often heavy rain. On the whole, Malaysia is hot and humid this month, so bring lots of high factor sun cream, seek shade in the hottest part of the day and stay hydrated with bottled water.

On the west coast, temperatures average 30°C in February, while in the central regions it hovers around 29°C. In the capital, Kuala Lumpur, the afternoons reach highs of 32°C, while temperatures dip to around 23°C at night. With eight hours of sunshine on average each day, February is beautifully sunny at this time of year, and although 200mm of rain is expected in Kuala Lumpur during the month, but the tropical showers are short and sharp.
