What's the weather like in China in October?
China is a huge country with diverse landscapes stretching across thousands of miles, from bustling cities to striking mountains. In October, much of the country’s sunny and dry, making this one of the most popular times of the year to visit China. Northern and eastern regions including the capital Beijing are cool and mainly dry this month, while central regions are usually warm and slightly wetter in October.

At this time of year the capital Beijing has an average high temperature of 19°C, with lows of 8°C overnight. Just 20mm of rain’s expected this month, so you don’t need to worry about wet weather. Meanwhile Shanghai is warmer with highs of 22°C, lows of 15°C, and around 65mm of rain. In Guilin temperatures are higher, peaking at an average high of 27°C and dropping to 17°C after dark. It’s also slightly wetter, with 85mm of rain expected.
