    What's the weather like in China in March?

    China is a huge country that stretches for thousands of miles and has diverse landscapes, ranging from picturesque coastlines to imposing mountains and vibrant cities. Things are slowly starting to warm up in March as the country leaves the bitterly cold winter behind. Northern and eastern regions, including the capital Beijing, are beginning to thaw after their freezing months, while it can start to feel rather mild in coastal Shanghai at this time.

    The average temperature in Beijing is a brisk 5ºC in March, reaching highs of 11ºC and lows of -1ºC. It’s the driest time of year for the city, which expects less than 10mm of rain this month.
