If you fancy escaping from Europe in spring and soaking up some sunny and warm weather, then Africa could be perfect for you. The Africa weather in April is warm with lots of fantastic sunshine. Countries like Egypt and The Gambia will be very dry too with hardly any rainfall in April.

The climate across Africa in April varies depending on which resort you choose to relax in. If you head to Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, for example, the weather will be hot with very little rain. Kenya’s popular coastal resort of Mombasa, on Africa’s east coast, will also be around 30°C. In South Africa in April it’s a bit cooler at around 23°C. Popular countries such as Morocco, Egypt, Kenya and South Africa will be warmer at this time of the year though. The average daytime temperature in Sharm El Sheikh, for example, will be around 30°C, falling to lows of 18°C at night. On average, the rainfall in Africa this month measures 72mm but there could be short tropical showers in cities such as Mombasa and Banjul on the west coast. Expect the humidity level to be very strong in April, at highs of 90% in places, with stronger winds along the coast. The sun sets at 6pm in April in Egypt and a little earlier in the south of Africa.
