Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday

All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806

Rhode Island is the smallest state in the USA, but offers plenty of stunning beaches. Massachusetts is the historic centre of New England, and home to Boston, the biggest city in the region. Wander along the dunes of Cape Cod, and you’ll see why it’s a draw for artists and writers. New Hampshire is picture-postcard perfect, with its forests, mountain views, beaches, and quaint little villages. Vermont’s bold autumn colours need no filters, they’re worth the trip alone. All the New England states could fit into Maine, the ‘Pine Tree State’, which boasts stunning white pine tree scenery.

By car: The easiest way to get around New England is to drive. Although greater Boston has a good public transport system, it mainly serves commuters during weekday working hours.
By sea: To reach the smaller islands, you’ll need to go by ferry and you can leave the car behind.
Running fun: Cheer on the athletes in the prestigious Boston Marathon (mid-April), or soak up the welcoming atmosphere if you happen to be taking part.
St. Patrick’s Day: Few places celebrate this mid-March saint’s day like Boston does, around a quarter of the population are of Irish descent. Get ready to paint the town green!
Food and drink: Celebrate the finest food in Maine at its Machias Blueberry Festival and Lobster Festival (Aug), and at Harvest on the Harbour (Oct), which showcases the best of New England’s food, wine and beer.
New England is on the same latitude as Rome, meaning summer days can be hot, especially on the coast. Pack additional layers for cooler night-time temperatures. Winters can be rather long the further inland you get, and the snowfall can be deep.
Temperature: Average temperatures in spring (April to early June) range from 4 to 15°C, summer (June to August) reach nearly 30°C. The cool autumn (September to November) is around 10°C and under, and winter (November to March) tends to be just below freezing.
