When you’re seeking luxury without the hefty price tag, the Luna Holiday Complex is a must-visit! Not only are its interiors stylish, but the rooftop pool overlooking Mellieha Bay is one-of-a-kind. Put it this way, you’ll need to have your camera ready because the sunset viewings are unbeatable. Match that with swanky apartments and a prime position next to Malta’s longest stretch and you’re onto a winner.
When it comes to space, there’s plenty of it. Whether you opt for a large studio room with a cosy living area, double cooking rings for whipping up your own concoctions and connecting twin beds or a superior family option big enough to fit the whole clan. The facilities that come as standard are top-notch, including a flat screen TV, oven, hairdryer air-conditioning and kettle. And when you want to splash out, opt for the penthouse suite which flaunts a large spacious veranda complete with sunloungers, two deluxe bedrooms and an outdoor dining area.
There are some real culinary gems hiding inside this hotel too, and Dining Lunar is one of them. Here the chef is on hand to create the dish you desire, allowing you to choose a theme and main ingredients (with a few days notice, of course), perfect for special occasions. Or simply just take advantage of its ever-changing menu. But when you can’t decide what you fancy, Twilight Bar & Kitchen is your go-to with its endless buffet options accompanied by a bottle of chilled wine. Speaking of drinks, we’d recommend cocktails on the terrace when you want to soak up panoramic vistas. Not forgetting the spot in the lounge where you can enjoy a coffee and cake.
If that wasn’t impressive enough, the games room will lure you in with its video games and pool tables asking you to challenge the family. As for taking advantage of Malta’s year-round climate, the Sky pool is where you’ll relax on four-poster beds before heading for a dip in the hot tub. Not forgetting the Mediterranean backdrop you’ll be admiring during your sunbathing hours. If heights make you nervous, there’s a family option with a shallow end for tiny tots. There’s also an indoor swimming area open between October and May for warmer dips.
When it comes to your location, you’ve hit the jackpot. Within minutes you’ll reach Mellieha’s 800m of sun-soaked sand which hugs the sapphire waters of the Med. The allures don’t end there either owing to its collection of watersports including water-skiing and windsurfing. Walk 10 minutes further and you’ll stumble upon the resort’s beautiful baroque churches and chic cafes hidden away among narrow cobbled streets. But don’t worry, you don’t have to go that far to find your nearest cocktail spot, after all there’s a selection of shops, restaurants and bars only 100m from the hotel.
