Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday

Whether you’re looking for a quiet, laid-back beach break or you’re planning a well-earned holiday with the family, Troulos holidays offers a little slice of paradise. A rural, seaside village, it’s culture is rich in Greek tradition and small on crowds, allowing you to really get away from it all. Troulos Bay is an idyllic sweep of sugar-white sand and sapphire-blue waters, fringed with olive groves and perfumed by pines.
While the destination is hidden away from the island’s main tourist spots, you’re still within easy reach of up-tempo living, should you want it. Skiathos’ lively town centre is a mere 20-minute bus-ride away, offering buzzing bars and neon nightclubs. However, if you’d rather focus on topping up your tan and leisurely meals with a cold glass of something local, it’s the perfect place to unwind.
Water-based fun
Surrounded by the inviting waters of the Aegean, it’s no surprise that many of Troulos’ activities revolve around the sea. Whether you want to try a new watersport, go on a sailing trip around the Sporades islands, or hire your own boat for the day, you’re sure to find some fun on the waves. If you prefer, you can simply paddle, swim and snorkel to your heart’s content.
Super attractions
Skiathos has some great attractions if you want to explore the island. Whether you’re visiting historic monasteries, medieval castles or climbing mountains for spectacular panoramic views, Troulos can be a fantastic base for you. There’s a bus service that runs right along the island’s south coast from Skiathos Town to Koukounaries, making it nice and easy to get to places like beautiful Hidden Beach or lively Banana Beach.
Peaceful atmosphere
When it’s time to relax, make your way down to Troulos Beach and spend the day soaking up the golden Greek sunshine. Troulos is between busier spots Skiathos Town and Koukounaries, and it’s a quieter place than the other two places. This makes it the perfect spot to come if you want to unwind in peaceful surroundings with your family or partner.

If you want to make the most of the sunshine, book your holiday between June and August, when the temperatures are at their peak.

By car: There are plenty of car-hire offices in nearby Skiathos, giving you the opportunity to see the sights at your own pace. There’s only one main road, travelling along the south coast; the rest of the network is made up of dirt tracks or gravel roads. Car-hire makes getting around the island quick and easy, but do remember that Greeks drive on the right and overtake on the left.
By boat: What better way to get around an island like Skiathos than by boat? The young and young at heart can’t help but love a water taxi ride. Hop aboard one of the public boats and travel round the different bays from as little as €5.
By taxi: Public buses can get busy during the peak period, so you might prefer to jump in a taxi. The harbours on the waterfront are a great place to find a taxi-rank.
Carnival: There’s no bigger or better event on Skiathos than carnival week. After months of preparation, the locals cut loose for a week in February, complete with colourful costumes, flamboyant floats, live music, traditional dancing, and sizzling street food, finishing up with a fantastic firework display. You may not get as much sleep as you hoped, but it’ll be worth it!
Feast: Visit Troulos, Skiathos in July and you’ll find yourself getting caught up in one of the island’s most important cultural celebrations. The nearby town of Agia Paraskevi is only 1.4km away and, there, the locals host a feast to commemorate the Saint of the same name. Expect delicious, traditional food, plenty of drinking, traditional dancing, music, and a candlelight vigil.

The summer months of June, July and August are when you’ll find the sun at its hottest, creating the perfect conditions for sun-seekers. However, if you’d like to get some sightseeing done in cooler temperatures, book your holidays to Troulos in the spring, when the mercury hovers in the mid-twenties. Autumn temperatures are still hot enough to top up your tan and winters are a little cooler, with temperatures averaging around 10°C.
